EMITOM Remains Unbeaten

 In Latest News

EMITOM came out on top of his biggest challenge to date on Friday, taking on some very progressive youngsters in the novice hurdle at Newbury. He carried top weight due to his double penalty which put 10 pounds more on his back than the two very nice Nicky Henderson runners up. In fourth was also a 138 rated Philip Hobbs hurdler. By all of that information the form should hold up very well and our exciting horse is on the way to being very special. This was his fifth win out of five starts in his career and this was the first time he has had to really try for it. He knuckled down strongly in the closing stages and fended off his rivals under a positive ride from Gavin. This was a two and half mile contest and he will be entered in the relative race at Aintree and also the three mile hurdle too. He, like La Bague Au Roi, will swerve Cheltenham and head straight to Liverpool. They will both have some time to freshen up and hopefully hit the North all guns blazing.

EMITOM is showing all the right signs of being a star and his new owners to the game, The Spero Partnership, should be very proud of him.
