ENCORE CHAMPS put in an incredibly impressive performance on Saturday to win the last on the card at Ffos Las. He was given a very confident ride by Gavin Sheehan who held him together and was patient with the athletic individual underneath him. When asked one furlong out, ENCORE CHAMPS went through the gears and battled well against a nice horse of Jamie Snowden’s to come out on top of the very competitive 16 runner field.

This progressive youngster has been liked within the yard since he arrived last year. He ran a very creditable race on his first start back in May to just bump into a now unbeaten horse of Dan Skelton’s. ENCORE CHAMPS was pipped at the line by half a length there and it is great that he has now had the chance to get his head in front on his second start. He is a very exciting horse for the future and the first two runs are the perfect way for him to begin his racing career.

We will look to run him in another bumper in the coming months and if all goes well he may even appear at one of the bigger meetings at the end of the season.

The work continued last week and the horses are taking it well. They are fit, healthy and happy and will be running soon. Some can be seen below up The Back Of The Hill and on their walks back to the yard as the riders speak to Warren about their steads.
