Jumping Lessons All Round
LA BAGUE AU ROI
LA BAGUE AU ROI has been away from the yard for a week doing some training with one of National Hunt’s legends, Henrietta Knight. LA BAGUE May take the step this year to fences from hurdles and therefore we want her to have every chance of being as spectacular over those as she is over the smaller obstacles. Hen has brilliant facilities with a variety of difference sized and styled jumps. The video below shows LA BAGUE schooling over Hen’s main fences on her brilliant grass schooling area. The fences start smaller and gradually increase in size as the horses move down the line. They are made from immaculate brush and leylandii and are a perfect stepping stone to jumping fences.
At the beginning of each season we call upon the former Chef D’Equipe of the British Eventing Team, Yogi Breisner to impart some of his knowledge on our jockeys and assist some of the horses with their jumping. He is a great help to the younger jockeys and horses, helping them to create a tight synergy together. Below are some video of those sessions. Yogi told us before he left that our younger horses were ‘Some of the nicest group of youngsters he’s ever seen’. So hopefully that bodes well for them!
