Owners’ Day 2018
On Thursday the 20th of September we were joined by nearly 200 owners and supporters of the yard. The day consisted of a parade of horses during which Warren spoke about each individually, explaining their form and future campaigns. We showed off nearly 60 horses and it was a credit to the team that operation was as smooth as possible in some very tempestuous conditions. The horses are all pretty fresh at the moment and the combination of wind, marquee and people they were definitely showing off a bit. It is however great to see them all so well. The parade was followed by a buffet style lunch in the marquee, which was a great addition to the fun day. An open day is a fantastic opportunity for owners to be introduced to one and other, and also to get to meet the members of staff who look after their horses. It also gives them a chance to look around the yard and see the current goings-on behind the scenes. Overall it was a fantastic day and we have had some great feedback. We are very lucky to have brilliant owners and staff and we are hugely excited about the season ahead.

We are now getting into the gritty stuff and the horses are beginning their proper work. They are all in great form and are handling being back in training. The videos below are of some of them during their first piece of steady work up The Back Of The Hill.
