It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we speak about the loss of Michael Pitt. He was involved in a tragic accident whilst out in Hungerford last week. Mikey joined us about a year ago and he fitted into the yard very quickly. He was a lovely lad who had the whole world at his feet. At only 19 he was a great worker but also had a brilliant sense of humor. Everyone on the yard got along with him very well. He was also a very competent horseman who was looking to get his license to ride in races for us. A young man whose life has ended far too early and it is devastating to his family and many friends. His wonderful smile and cheekiness will be missed a lot by all.
DRUMLEE WATAR made it back to back wins last Tuesday by winning the 2m7f handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter under Gavin Sheehan. They made all of the contest alongside their main rival from Tim Vaughan’s. However DRUMLEE was full of running on the home straight and managed to battle off his contenders by 12 lengths at the line. He jumped impeccably and really looks to be enjoying his racing. It is great that he has found his form and we are very happy for Izzy who looks after him and the ever growing Fitorfat partnership. The very same group of owners also hold in their armory BAILARICO who was also in this race and finish a credible third under Caoilin Quinn. So they managed to have their colours appear twice in the winners’ enclosure. Hopefully their luck continues!
