YOUNG LIEUTENANT Wins At Kempton
Last week Kempton put on a day of Jumpers’ Bumpers, which enabled older horses to race without hurdles or fences again. As with this occasion, these days are usually put on as a result of difficult ground conditions as the races are held on all weather surfaces. YOUNG LIEUTENANT claimed 2m 2f challenge in very impressive style beating some nice horses. He was piloted very coolly by Gavin Sheehan who stayed calm aboard his mount until the two furlong pole when they made their move and cut past the leaders to win by two lengths. YOUNG LIEUTENANT is steadily making a name for himself as a horse with some serious ability and he seems to love winning. It was great to be able to get him out with the ground as it was and we will look for another hurdle in the near future.
We asked some of the staff what their hopes were for the rest of the season. Below are their responses.
