A FAB FAMILY DAY OUT AT COCKLEBARROW

Yesterday was a very exciting day for the whole Greatrex Family, and Nell in particular, when she took part in her first Pony Race at Cocklebarrow Point-to-Point.

Nell was riding Racing Pony Longthwaite Waterily, who she has been riding out with the string First Lot every day before going to school! Lily is Leased from her producer Nathan Rahman and is sure to give Nell and Evie plenty of fun, as they are going to take turns in riding her.

Nell and Lily were competing in the 138cm Open Race, meaning they were taking on bigger ponies and older riders- at only 128cm, Lily is a little pocket rocket, and Nell gave her a fantastic ride to finish 2nd, only beaten a small margin!

It was a great day for the whole family, Tessa groomed, Warren gave the riding instructions, Evie led up, and Nancy was top cheerleader! Plenty more family fun to be had for the pony racing season, and we will keep you up to date with how the girls get on.
