HERAKLES WESTWOOD WINS AT FONTWELL

HERAKLES WESTWOOD did it again last week! Straight off the back of his win at Lingfield, he headed to Fontwell only 12 days later and put in another stellar performance to WIN the Novice Handicap Hurdle over 2m 5f in really testing conditions under another confident ride from Sean Bowen.

At Lingfield Herakles Westwood still showed signs of greenness in the closing stages, but this time Sean said Herakles Westwood really knew his job, racing prominently throughout before taking up the lead in the home straight and staying on strongly to win by 3 and a half lengths!

It is great to see this horse go from strength to strength; he is really making use of the patient start Warren gave him to his racing career, and it is great to see The Albatross Club members starting to have plenty of fun with him, he is sure to keep progressing!

JAMES JET WINS AT FFOS LAS

It was a quick-fire across the card double last Tuesday, with James Jet WINNING on Chase debut at Ffos Las only an hour after Herakles Westwood won at Fontwell!

James Jet was given a brilliant ride by James Bowen and jumped with real confidence and fluency, especially for a horse first time over fences! We always knew James Jet was crying out for a fence, and so it was great to see him back up his Hurdle win of only 3 weeks before with a decisive victory over the bigger obstacles. James Jet had to show real grit and determination to win as the ground was really hard work at Ffos Las, but he really stuck his neck out and galloped all the way to the line to win by a nose!

There is certainly much more to come for James Jet and his owners Clemmie Shipp and Steven McKay, who seem to have a good one on their hands!
