GAELIC PRIDE WINS AT WINCANTON

 In Latest News

GAELIC PRIDE got off the mark over hurdles last Thursday at Wincanton where he lined up in the Oddschecker Maiden Hurdle over 2 miles and was partnered by Sean Bowen.

This was Gaelic Pride’s fourth run over hurdles, having run some really solid races in defeat on his previous 3 runs. He had to put every ounce of experience and courage into this performance, where he made the running  from flag fall, and jumped slickly throughout. Coming to the last hurdle,  Gaelic Pride faced a really strong challenge from Unknown Entity of Dan Skelton’s, and the pair battled hard all the way to the line, with Gaelic Pride emerging victorious by a head under Sean Bowen’s strong drive.

It is really pleasing to see Gaelic Pride getting his first win over hurdles, he is a really likeable and honest horse who will no doubt grow in confidence from this win and now move on to bigger and better things! Much to look forward to for his owners Sally and Allen Franklin and Rick Gurney.
