MIGHTY BANDIT BRINGS UP THE HAT-TRICK
MIGHTY BANDIT BRINGS UP THE HAT-TRICK
MIGHTY BANDIT continued on his run of good form since switching to fences when he headed back to Doncaster on Saturday to line up in the Virgin Bet Handicap Chase (Class 2) over 2 miles, partnered by James Bowen.
This was another competitive line up , but Mighty Bandit had been bouncing at home since his last run, and we were sure he would put in another solid effort- he did not disappoint! James sent Mighty Bandit off in front, and he bounded into the lead with his ears pricked, taking on each fence with gusto and putting more distance between himself and his rivals with each fence. The pair came home strongly an eventual 17 lengths ahead of the second horse, and it was clear both horse and jockey had really enjoyed their race!
It is brilliant to see Mighty bandit growing in confidence and he is showing to be really progressive over fences. His next target will likely be at the Aintree Festival- although which race he runs in will depend on the ground.
Congratulations to owners Jim and Claire who have always loved this horse, and to all the team who are doing such a brilliant job to keep the horses in such fine form.
