A Double At Ffos Las

 In Latest News

The fantastic EMITOM is starting to look quite special. Last week he ran in his very first hurdle after winning his two bumper starts well. He continued this form winning the 2m4f novice hurdle at Ffos Las under Gavin Sheehan. This impressive horse showed serious class again, jumping well and pulling clear of the field with ease on the run in.

EMITOM looks to be on the way to being a future star and is definitely doing all the right things along the way. Now that he has made his first attempt over obstacles safely and so convincingly there are a plethora of options open to us with him. It will hopefully be exciting times ahead for The Spero Partnership.

PENN LANE made it a double on the day at Ffos Las, winning the 2m6f handicap hurdle again under Gavin Sheehan. As he had done on EMITOM, Gavin took a wide path around the Welsh track keeping away from the mess of the pack and finding better ground. PENN LANE travelled fantastically well throughout but made a small mistake at the last which cost him his lead on the run in. However, he battled back well under Gavin’s drive to win in a photo finish against a nice horse of Henry Daly’s.

PENN LANE is a tough horse with talent who has given Alan & Andrew Turner some great days. He will run again in the coming weeks where we will step him up to 3 miles.
